[TYPES OF PRIVATE LESSONS OFFERED]
1) Solo Lesson | $100.00
One teacher and one student for a wheel throwing or handbuilding lesson. Includes all materials, glazing and firing (if you have a finished piece) and 1-1.5 hours of wheel time or handbuilding. Let us know if you have never touched clay or if you have some experience and are looking to improve a specific skill.

2) Duet Lesson | $150.00
1 Instructor for 2 students; your choice of a wheel throwing or a handbuilding lesson. If you need help understanding the difference between them please contact us.
A lesson is 1.5 hours, plan for added cleanup time. 

3) Private Group 1x Class

Ideal for those wanting to host a one time private group of adults or kids. We offer 2 hours of handbuilding projects for groups up to 8 people or 1.5+ hours of wheel throwing. 

For younger students - the wheel classes are suggested for ages 12 and up. Handbuilding classes are open to any age and recommended for special events too like birthdays!

4) Private 6 Wk Lesson Series | $250.00
We recommend a 6 week, 2 hours a week, series to develop your skills for those who have never thrown or handled clay. Each session is 2 hrs including cleanup time.  Includes 25# of clay ($28 value), firing, glaze and studio access during students open studio time. Class covers studio layout, equipment use, and safety. Handbuilder’s will focus on producing finished pieces (functional or non-functional/sculptural) using slab, pinch, and coil methods and learning how to wedge, imprint, carve and extruder techniques to develop skills to build upon in the future. Wheel throwers will learn to wedge and center clay, how to throw and practice making cylinders for even and straight walls.  You’ll work on hand positioning and control of clay; learning various stages of the pottery process and focusing on cylinders, bowls and cups. For younger students -  wheel classes are suggested for ages 12 and up. Handbuilding classes are open to any age!
